The whole reason I started this blog was because I was making this album and I was hyped about it. Since then, I’ve made about 40 tracks that could of gone on here, but after much deliberation I’ve narrowed it down to 12 tracks that I believe suit it best.. I might even release an album of cut tracks cause theres a lot of good stuff that didn’t make it on here.
Anyway, as for now there is no direct http link. I’m looking for a decent site where I can upload a .rar, without the date expiring and without it fucking up the upload every time like it does on divshare
But, I have upped it as a torrent on What.CD, so if you’re on there then get on it here: http://what.cd/details.php?id=201355
Here’s a little write up I did to accompany it.. writing is not my strong point -
“In ‘Dystopia’, 21 year old producer Davwuh has created a dark soundscape of a future city using expansive electronic sounds. Taking influences from dubstep, idm, electronica and inspired by dystopian fictional settings, Davwuh’s sound belongs to no specific genre, though running themes of darkness, loneliness, confusion and evil run through this album. Though the album was initially intended to be a straight forward collection of dubstep tracks, during production it began to take on a life of its own and look past the traditional dubstep formula into unchartered territories, making it a unique listening experience.”

At the moment I’m bored to death of dubstep and the whole dubstep scene, it seems all the new stuff is just following the same formula and not going anywhere new which is dissapointing.. I’ve been listening to lots of film and video game sundtracks lately which has inspired me to start writing my own… At the moment I’ve got about 5-6 arrangements that I’ve written on Reason 4.0 using the Orkester sample bank and it sounds pretty class - soon I’ll post some samples up on here
Also - if you’re making a short film and interested in having a soundtrack done for you get in touch and we can work something out

Wassup friends - long time no speak
I’ve been writin so much music lately - if you know me then you know I make a lot anyway, but i’ve been making more than ever lately. If you’re new unto my realm then it probably looks like i’m just a dubstep-head, which I am a bit, but I’m into all sorts of other music too - electro, jazz, prog, rap etc. and I’ve been making all sorts of different types of music lately…
- A prog rock album under my Bill Spoon alias
- a hip hop album under my GM Ghoul alias
- a bizzaro electro-rock album under my Les Animalz alias
- a soundtrack to a non-existent video game (inspired my recent playing of final fantasy 6), which isn’t really under any alias and is just for my own personal pleasure to listen to.
And in the past few days I’ve finished a lot of new dubstep tracks and a few DNB riddims which I doubt I will send around since i’m not feelin them… but the dubstep is soundin good :D
Mary-anne hobbs PM’ed me on myspace asking me to send her a CD of her stuff, as did N-Type last week - which I will be doing tommorow with a load of new tracks on that i’ve just got around to finishin the mixdown on… so maybe you’ll be hearin Davwuh on radio 1 if i’m lucky :)
What Dub? MP3 (320kbs)
Anyway - i’m feelin generous so here’s a free download of one of the latest in 320.. its called ‘What Dub?’ and you’ll probably get the title when you hear it - it’s got just as much in common with electro music as it has dubstep - a bit experimental - hope you enjoy

In other news in my life - just under 12 hours ago til the biggest game of the season yet, Liverpool vs Man U - i cant fuckin wait.. I support Liverpool incase you didn’t know - and I reckon we’re on set to challenge for the title seriously this season, definitely if we beat the mancs tommorow… and then I’m gonna watch Chelsea/Arsenal… what a wicked day
And footy isn’t the only sport I follow - I’m a keen WWE fan, if you call it sport, its ‘sports entertainment’ - but whatever - Unforgiven on pay-per-view tommorow night as well - gonna be epic + I can’t wait..
So thats my day sorted for tommorow - mail the CD’s out, footy, wrestling - interspersed with some more music-making and watching Alf season 1 which I downloaded

I was checking out Digg before and found out that Nine Inch Nails have put up this amazing new website - remix.nin.com
I’m not really the biggest NIN fan, I’m into some of their stuff but I’m not a regular listener… But this website is fantastic + I have to give props to Trent Reznor for coming up with the idea. He offers NIN + Saul Williams tracks split up into multi-track downloads for you to remix and post up on the site - so I gave one a crack
I remixed one of the NIN tunes from Year Zero - The Beginning Of The End
- and turned a 3 minute rock out tune into a 8 minute dubstep epic
Check it out here: http://remix.nin.com/play/mix?id=1046

I can’t stop makin music at the moment, havin so many ideas for tracks. Stayed up all night and made 3 new tunes - one of them is definitely gonna be on the album which is ‘Blackmarket’
I’m puttin together some sort of a concept album - vague pictures of a futuristic dystopia - blackmarket suits it so much, sounds like a swarm of undead junkies lookin for a fix on the blackmarket - the peasents that live underneath the city.. The track, which is 9 minutes long, sounds like you’ve just took a hit of acid and wandered into a lively shithole of a marketplace and probably has the deebest sub bass wobbler i’ve ever done
I reckon I’ll stick it up on Myspace later, but their 128kbs policy might not do the track justice cause the bass has to be heard at the highest quality - so i’ll see
Also - WUH001 is still on sale. That site I used to sell it on though is fucking shit and won’t give me any money from what i’ve made until I make a certain amount. Once I reach it I’m gonna be taking the release down - so I guess it’s a limited release only - buy it now while stocks last!

I write my own press releases…
Davwuh - WUH001, is available now on http://indiestore.com/davwuh. This 21 year old Dubstep producer, Davwuh’s first release, with 4 astounding new tracks.
First up is ‘1996’, a 10 minute garage/dubstep anthem-to-be. The epic track is creating a buzz in the dubstep scene at the moment, with rave reviews from just about everyone who has heard it. The track contains subtle rhodes piano tinkering and soulful pads playing jazzy chords over a big garage drum loop and deep sub bass - which eventually builds up into the massive bass wobbler drop. Massive…
‘Oppression’ is by far the heaviest, darkest and most experimental track in this release. Dark, eerie rhodes chords, reverse strings and a haunting female vocal build up to a devastating drop which pushes the boundaries of dubstep production. It makes big tunes like Coki’s ‘Spongebob’ sound timid in comparison!
3rd track ‘Vorlander Vs. Eddington’ is bizarre - with warped piano arpeggios, squelching synths and the fattest drop in dubstep since ‘Traffic’ by Distance - this track is perfect to drop onto any demented dancefloor in the next year. Big, big tune.
And finally ‘Rain’, this final track has a melancholy, yet disturbing mood about it. In the words of dubstepforum.com’s resident “describe every track in detail” member Horse, this is a “grime infected, hollow acid, tunnel vision, dark roller”. Nice! He also reminds us to “NOT SLEEP ON THIS” because “this one deserves to be fucking massive”
So please download this release from http://www.indiestore.com/davwuh - because, I’ll be honest - I desperately need the money :)
